Milano Cortina 2026

The Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Paralympic Games will take place from 6th to 15th March.

Approximately 665 athletes will compete in 79 medal events across six sports – Para alpine skiing, Para biathlon, Para cross-country skiing, Para ice hockey, Para snowboard and wheelchair curling.

The Games will mark the 50th anniversary of the first Paralympic Winter Games and also see the Games return to Italy for the second time in history, 20 years after Torino 2006.

One new medal event – wheelchair curling mixed doubles – will be featured for the first time at these Games.

Not only will the Games showcase some of the best sporting talent on the planet but they will also be a platform to celebrate Scotland and raise our profile on the international stage. Like at past Winter Paralympics, ParalympicsGB have a strong squad heading to Paris to represent Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The ParalympicsGB squad comprises 25 athletes, which includes 15 Scots (representation in five of the six sports on offer).

Milano Cortina 2026 marks the highest number of Scots ever at a Winter Games, with 13 Scots in the squad at the previous Winter Paralympics in Beijing 2022.
