The annual Friendship Trophy competition was held in the National Curling Academy,Stirling, on Saturday 15th February.
Ten wheelchair curlers from the south of Scotland took on 10 wheelchair curlers from the north. The format of two pairs and two triples from each consists of experienced players and not so experienced players.
A good day’s curling was had by all, with the south of Scotland teams taking the trophy.
The trophy was presented to team captain John McClelland by Mr Neil Mcgarva, A M Ross Family Foundation. John thanked Mr Mcgarva for his continued support of this competition and all the players for taking part, the umpires, ice men and on ice volunteers for making this event possible.
Once the presentation was over everyone enjoyed a lovely dinner in the curlers’ lounge within The Peak Sports Village.
