Green Team
Day 1: Hi everyone – Its the green team here! Wow what a first day of camp. Â
We arrived to some rain, but once we waved goodbye to our families, the sun shone. We settled in quickly to our new accommodation, met our new team and the excitement kicked in straight away. Â
First thing was taking part in and around the camp site so we could get used to our new surroundings. Cycling was fun with some cool adapted bikes, orienteering helped us navigate our way around and bushcraft gave us the opportunity to have some hands on work with tools and a lovely hot chocolate. Things didn’t stop there as we headed off to Loch Insh. The weather stayed nice as we went sailing, tried out some archery followed by yummy steak pie or macaroni. When we got home, we all had some amazing hot chocolate!Â
Wonder what day 2 will bring…Â
Day 2: Well that has been a busy day. We were the best team who walked round the whole of Loch Morlich and back to the start at Badaguish. We were all exhausted and proud off our amazing achievements, although the first thing our team leader did when she got back was take her shoes off to give them a rest! We all had a little rest and some biscuits followed by a BBQ style dinner (inside as the rain was coming on) with burgers, sausages, salad and ice creams. Â
The end of our day is free time. We have been playing the keyboard, singing, having fun with our friends and catching up. Some of the team went to bed early as the fresh air had made them super tired. Can’t believe tomorrow is our last day already. Â
Day 3: Sad day today, as we packed and said goodbye to our friends. But not sad for too long – not only were we reunited with our families WE WON!!!!! Green team were the winners of the John De Courcey trophy which represents the team who won the most points throughout all our challenges and adventures. Sadly the trophy had a mishap on the way to camp, so in its place there was an award of a bottle of juice. So funny! Â
Also well done to Rhona who won the team mascot for being an amazing overall team player. Â
Going to miss everyone, but really looking forward to seeing who will be the new green team of 2024! Thank you for an amazing adventure SDS, Badaguish and all the team…
