This weekend 92 of the world’s top para-swimmers from 21 countries will race against each other building their performances in search of achieving nomination for the Paralympics later this year. Ponds Forge in Sheffield will once again host the British Para Swimming International Meet as part of the World Para-Swimming World Series between 8 and 11 April.
The event provides an important racing opportunity for swimmers, particularly those looking to demonstrate their potential to be nominated for the pinnacle event of any para swimmer – the Summer Paralympic Games in Tokyo later this year.
Ten of Scotland’s performance team have been working hard and looking forward to continuing to improve their performances after a difficult year.
