In 1995 Craig decided to focus on building his career and specialise in track cycling. He quickly progressed to be a key member of the British Cycling squad, representing GB in the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games and the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. He also competed at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester and the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.

Craig sustained a back injury in 2007 and announced his retirement from the team at the UCI World Cup in 2008. Since then he has worked on several projects for the BBC as a commentator and in 2010 he joined the GB para-cycling team as a tandem pilot.

In 2001 Craig teamed up with Neil Fachie and the duo won gold in the tandem sprint and tandem kilo at the Para-Cycling Track World Championships in Montichiari, Italy. Craig was tandem pilot for Anthony Kappes at the 2012 London Paralympic Games.

After narrowly missing out on the 100m and 200m finals in athletics, Neil decided that he needed a change in his sporting career. Describing himself as a life-long cycling fan, Neil was introduced to the competitive element of the sport at the Manchester Velodrome in 2008. he thrived on the high speed and high adrenaline of the sport, joining the para-cycling team in April 2009.

Shortly afterwards Neil entered his first major international competition at the 2009 BT Paralympic World Cup and the Manchester Velodrome. Neil, piloted by Dave Readle, won two silver medals.

In 2006 Neil graduated from the University of Aberdeen with a Bachelor’s degree in physical. He won the Aberdeen Sports Person of the Year in 2009.

Neil has a congenital eye condition, retinitis pigmentosa.

Fiona’s husband Andy introduced her to cycling in 2003 and when she demonstrated talent she joined her local cycling club Ythan CC. Initially Fiona entered L’Etape de Tour and then some local time trials and she then went on to selection for the GB Police Team (PSUK) at the European Police Championships in 2008 where the ladies’ team won silver. Fiona subsequently won the Scottish Police College fitness prize twice.

Fiona was introduced to tandem piloting in 2010 after meeting para-cyclist sprinter Neil Fachie MBE. She started riding with Lora Turnham the same year and they won a silver medal at the Para Cycling Track World Championships in 2011 after riding together for just six weeks.
