Blue Team Blog

Day 1: Hi everyone – Blue team here!  We have had the busiest day.  

We arrived and once we seen our rooms and got settled in the action quickly started.  

First thing was a trio of onsite activities to get the team in the sporting spirit – bushcraft, orienteering and cycling.  As if that excitement wasn’t enough for day 1 – we headed off to Loch Insh.  The weather was lovely and as the early evening came on we were on the water with canoes or sailing boats, followed by archery and a lovely meal with our new team mates.

I think we are going to be exhausted tonight and will sleep well with all this fresh air!  

Day 2: Well a really tiring day for the Blue team.  I can’t believe how far we walked – round the whole of Loch Morlich.  Not only that we took part in lots of tasks and challenges along the way.  One of the biggest achievement was teamwork.  We helped each other, encouraged each other and were so strong as a team.  

The weather was great, not too hot and the rain held off until we got back to camp.  

We finished off with burgers and sausages, salad and pasta.  And then celebrated Mark’s 10 years at SDS with lots of cheers.  

Day 3: So tired today.  Sad to be leaving the camp, happy to be meeting our families and friends again to update them on the excitement of the last few days.  We have packed our bags, stripped our beds, and walked for the last time up to the games area away from our homes for the last 2 nights.  

The games and excitement didn’t stop, from lifting tyres to knocking down blocks.  It really showed what a strong team we have becomes.
