Around since 1923, SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health) currently operates over 60 services in communities across Scotland providing mental health social care support, addictions and employment services, among others. These services together with national programme work in See Me, respectme, suicide prevention, physical activity and sport inform SAMH’s policy and campaign work to influence positive social change.
SAMH Ambassador Sir Chris Hoy launched our first campaign on physical activity and sport in 2009, and since then, we have been working to make sure everyone can experience the benefits that physical activity can bring to our mental health and wellbeing.
