Western Isles Sport and Health Team in Partnership with Lewis and Harris Sports Council and Scottish Disability Sport is offering Disability Inclusion Training and a Boccia Leaders workshop. These workshops are a blended approach to online learning and are certificated. The cost of each workshop is £10.00. Lewis and Harris Disability Sport Workshops
Boccia Leaders Award 1.00 pm – 3.00 pm
Boccia is the fastest-growing Paralympic sport and can be played by people of all ages and abilities. The Boccia Leaders Award will give you the skills, knowledge, and confidence to deliver sessions to a wide range of participants.
This workshop is aimed at anyone working with participants with disabilities in a physical activity or sport setting. It is a mixture of online and practical sessions which:
- Focus on ability, not disability
- Enable effective communication
- Support inclusion in sport
- Provide sources of further information and support
