The Scottish Disabled Sports Trust has been a major supporter of SDS, including support for junior swimming.

The Sports Council for Glasgow has regularly committed funds to support national events held within the Glasgow area, including the national junior and senior swimming championships at Tollcross and the national athletics championships at Scotstoun.

The sportscotland Institute of Sport and Area Institutes of Sport have played a vital role in supporting Scotland’s leading sports people with a disability at national and international level. The partnership has contributed greatly to the success of leading Scots at World Championship and Paralympic Games.

Scottish Disability Sport’s partnership with the Commonwealth Games Council for Scotland has grown in strength since 2002, working together in the lead-up to Gold Coast 2018.

Dundee City Council, Glasgow Life, North Ayrshire Council, Orkney Islands Council, South Lanarkshire Council and Stirling Council.

Through the Grant Aid Scheme, Falkirk Council meets the cost of pool hire and staff for the National Championships for Swimmers with a Physical Disability or Visual Impairment at Grangemouth Sports Complex.

Aberdeen City Council supports the annual Scottish Lawn Bowls Championships at Westburn Park, Aberdeen, providing the facility and considerable staff resources.
